Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the SIA Member Portal (the “Portal”), operated by the Samoa Institute of Accountants (“SIA”). By signing in to the Portal you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility and accounts

The Portal is available only to registered SIA members and authorised SIA staff. Accounts are created and approved by SIA. You must sign in using the email address registered with SIA and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account.

2. Acceptable use

  • Use the Portal only for legitimate membership and professional purposes.
  • Do not share your account, or attempt to access another member's records.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, or circumvent the security of the Portal or its hosting infrastructure.
  • Do not redistribute member information, documents, or materials obtained from the Portal without SIA's written permission.

3. Your information

You agree to keep your profile information accurate and up to date. Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Membership, invoices and payments

Invoices, payment statuses, and membership statuses shown in the Portal are provided for your convenience. SIA's official records prevail in the event of any discrepancy. Displaying an invoice in the Portal does not itself constitute payment, and the Portal does not process card payments.

5. Events and CPE records

Event registration is subject to available capacity and any published registration deadline. CPE hours recorded in the Portal are subject to verification by SIA, which may request supporting evidence and may amend or remove records that cannot be substantiated.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Portal available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Portal may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons beyond our control, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.

7. Intellectual property

All content, documents, and materials in the Portal are owned by SIA or its licensors and are provided for your personal professional use as a member. All other rights are reserved.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where your membership lapses or ends, or where these terms are breached. You may stop using the Portal at any time.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The Portal and its content are provided “as is” for informational purposes and do not constitute professional, accounting, or legal advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SIA is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Portal.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Independent State of Samoa.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Portal after an update means you accept the revised terms.
